The Classics Department and College of Liberal Arts at Wright State University would like to invite advanced Latin students to join us for our 2nd annual Latin Day, to be held at the Wright State Student Union on Monday, April 18, 2016. We will begin with a brief introduction at 9:45, followed by break-out sessions which will focus on Rome’s foundation myths (especially the Aeneid). The events will be both instructional and interactive, including a look at Roman coins, as well as the opportunity for students to make their own “magic” tablets. Each session will last roughly 25 minutes. After the break-out sessions, we will serve lunch, accompanied by a trivia contest. The event will end at 1:30. The registration fee is $10 per student, which includes lunch and a t-shirt. Registration is limited to the first 200 responders. The deadline for registration is April 1. For more information or to reserve spots, please contact Rebecca Edwards at rebecca.edwards@wright.edu.
