Vergil Week 2016 at CWRU

“Of Men and Monsters”: Book III of the Aeneid.
CWRU’s annual celebration of the life, times, and poetry of Vergil will take place between Saturday 16 April and Friday 22 April in Cleveland. Events include the annual Latin recitation contest and art contest, a group run (the “cursus Vergilianus“), a full reading of the Aeneid, and a public lecture by Cleveland native Professor Ralph J. Hexter (Provost and Professor at UC, Davis) on Book III of the Aeneid. All events are free and open to the public. All high school and university students and faculty are warmly invited to campus.
