Congratulations to Mary Jo Behrensmeyer of Mount Vernon High School for being awarded the 2013 A.P.A. It is with great sadness that OCC passes on the message that Thelma Slater, a dear friend of the classics, passed away several days ago.  More information can be found here.  In 2004, she had set up at endowed lecture for classical studies at her alma mater, Mount Union College.  Her son is Niall W.
