Register for OCC Meeting

Dear Members of the Ohio Classical Conference,

The Centennial Planning Committee is happy to announce that the one-hundredth meeting of the Ohio Classical Conference will take place the weekend of 14 – 15 October 2022 on the campus of Columbus Academy in Gahanna, Ohio. We have a full program that includes a free banquet (please check out the Menu here) for all registered OCC members (faculty and students and guests) at The Barn at Rocky Fork Creek in Gahanna; a keynote address by George O’Connor, best-selling author of The Olympians graphic novels; the Vergilian Luncheon with an address by Professor Steven L. Tuck (Miami University); a special session on Thucydides and Aristophanes that includes a full reading of the play; an undergraduate student panel; and an academic panel featuring papers by with presentations by Sylvia Berryman (The University of British Columbia), Courtney Ann Roby (Cornell University), and Clara Bosak-Schroeder (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign). The meeting will also be held in tandem with the Ohio Junior Classical League (OJCL) and will provide opportunities for high school and university students and faculty to attend events together. We hope that you and your students will be able to join us for this festive and historic occasion! Continuing Education Credit (CEU) is available.
