More Information On the 2021 OCC

The 2021 Meeting of the Ohio Classical Conference will be held on Saturday October 9th on the Campus of Columbus Academy. The theme for this year’s meeting is taken from Aeneid 2.716:

Hanc ex diverso sedem veniemus in unam.

This will be our one point of assembly from every direction.” (trans. by Fred Ahl)

 It is the sincere hope of the OCC that after a year and a half of Zoom calls,  its members can gather in person in Columbus for some much needed conversation and collaboration.  In the event that we are able to meet in person, the OCC will be providing the banquet at no cost to its members.

Currently confirmed speakers include (further details about each to be posted soon):

Ian Lockey, Friends Select School;

Sarah Bond, The University of Iowa;

Timothy Wutrich, Case Western Reserve University;

Mark Hammond, Case Western Reserve University

More updates will be coming soon.
