Update for 2020 Meeting of the OCC

Below are a few updates for the 2020 Meeting of the Ohio Classical Conference. This year’s meeting will be held via Zoom from approximately 9:00 am – 3:00 pm on October 17. Join instructions will be sent out to registered participants prior to the meeting. You can register for the meeting (and join OCC if necessary) using the link below:

Registration for the 2020 Meeting

The registration deadline is October 9th, 2020.

Below is a rough outline of the day’s schedule (exact times are subject to change; you can also download a flyer here):

9:30-10:15: “Diversity and Inclusion in the Classics,” Ian Lockey, Friends Select School Philadelphia;

10:30-11:15: “The Path to A.P,” Jennie Luongo, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, member of the A.P. Latin Development Committee, lead Latin teacher for A.P. Daily;

11:30-12:00: “Cicero Addresses the Puzzle That is US,” Bill Prueter, West Geauga High School (Retired); 

12:30 -1:00: “Technology Tools for Remote Learning of Latin,” Jeffrey Kolo, Medina High School.

1:00 -1:30: Pedagogical Discussion/Exchange of Lessons Learned During Remote and/or Blended Teaching;

2:00 -3:00: Student Certamen
