Vergilian Society Translation Contest

Please See the Message Below From Amy Leonard regarding the Vergilian Society Translation Contest:

“If you are interested in another CHANCE TO SHINE for your students, I invite you to participate in the 2019 Vergilian Society Translation Contest. Open only to secondary-level students of Latin (including home-schooled), the contest will set a passage from Vergil’s Aeneid for translation. In addition, contestants will be required to answer several questions, and write a 3-4 paragraph essay based on the text set. Cash prizes wlll be awarded to the top ten papers. Certificates of Commendation will be sent to excellent papers. The contest must be administered in late February or early March. Awards will be announced in early – mid April.
