Dear OCC Members-
Please see the message below regarding an AP Workshop to be held at the University of Cincinnati on April 25th. The registration deadline is March 30th:
This is a reminder that on April 25th, the Department of Classics at the University of Cincinnati would like to invite teachers of AP Latin in the Cincinnati region to a half-day workshop on the AP texts. The venue will be Blegen Library on UC Campus. To secure a place in the workshop RSVP to Prof. Duncan MacRae (duncan.macrae@uc.edu) or Prof. Daniel Markovic (daniel.markovic@uc.edu) by March 30th.
At the workshop, teachers will hear presentations from scholars of Latin Literature and Roman History on the AP texts – Virgil and Caesar – and have the chance to get to know the Classics department at UC better. The presentations aim to connect teachers with recent scholarly thinking on the AP texts and to provide materials to enrich their teaching of the Latin texts. There will be a chance to discuss selected passages from the set texts with fellow teachers and the UC faculty. The department will provide morning refreshments and there will be a lunch with university faculty at the end of the workshop.
The workshop will be free to teachers of AP Latin.
