Case Western Reserve University will again be hosting Vergil Week from April 19th through April 25th. Events include the Cursus Vergilianus (a 5k run to honor Vergil), an Art Contest/Exhibition (open to both High School and University Students), a Latin Recitation Contest (also open to High School and University Students), a roundtable discussion (the theme is the ethical element in ancient and modern poetics), a continuous public reading of the Aeneid in English, and the Keynote Address by Dr. Craig Kallendorf of Texas A&M University, “The Protean Vergil: Book History and the Reception of Aeneid 1 in the Renaissance.”
