In November, Case Western Reserve will be hosting the tenth-annual City Dionysia competition. Area high schools are invited to write a 15-minute version of a Greek tragedy and stage it on the CWRU campus. This year, students will create versions of Euripides’s play HECUBA. As has been the case since 2010, CWRU will also bring a renowned scholar working on Greek drama to give a free public lecture. This year’s speaker will be Angeliki Tzanetou (University of Illinois).
