View the Full Program for the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Ohio Classical Conference

In addition to our important annual meeting where we will vote on the new OCC Constitution, we have a full program. The program includes a staged-reading of Euripides’s rarely-performed satyr play, The Cyclops and the opportunity to get involved as a reader in the play. Other events include a talk by Professor Jay Reed (Brown University) author of Virgil’s Gaze: Nation and Poetry in the Aeneid, a panel on Homer entitled “Perspectives on Homer in Honor of Milman Parry,” featuring talks by Richard Janko (University of Michigan), Lillian Doherty (University of Maryland), and Katherine Kretler (St. John’s College, Annapolis). There will also be an undergraduate student panel and opportunities to get involved as a judge or observer of the Ohio Junior Classical League.
